Probate | Lasting Powers of Attorney | Enduring Powers of Attorney
Enduring Powers of Attorney Enduring powers of attorney have now been replaced by lasting powers of attorney. However, if you or a member of your family made a valid enduring power of attorney prior to 1st October, this can still be used should the need arise. Like lasting powers of attorney, enduring powers of attorney should be registered where a person is no longer fully able to deal with their financial affairs. We can make arrangements for the registration of enduring powers of attorney with the Court of Protection on your behalf. It is worth noting that enduring powers of attorney can only be used in relation to property and affairs. Therefore if you or a relative or friend feel you wish to appoint someone to look after your health and welfare should you become incapable, you should make a personal welfare lasting power of attorney. Again, we can advise and assist in dealing with this for you. If you have any questions, or would just like an informal chat, please call us on 01785 259211.
